5 Must Have Dessert While on Vacation
Traveling isn’t traveling without the food or in this case dessert. In this article we look at five desserts from around the world that are a must try for any and every travel enthusiast.
1. I don’t know if we will ever know for sure who is responsible for it’s existence, Australia or New Zealand, however both countries can agree that Pavlova is a dessert one should not skip over. This circular dessert has a crunchy shell with a soft fluffy inside. That’s not all though. This dessert comes topped with some of your favorite things like strawberries and/or kiwis followed by whip topping.
Here is number 2… This is a must try and my personal favorite. Amaretto Rum Cake. I was in the Bahamas when I first tried this little piece of heaven. You can also get it in places like Bermuda. You should definitely get two as they won’t last for long with their sweet taste and moist touch. Right after we went on tour of a rum factory and ended up taking two bottles home. This certainly will not disappoint.
We can’t forget the chocolate. Yes it’s a treat that we can have just about at all times in many different forms: cookies, cake, chocolate bars. However many of us choose not to indulge altogether or may only limit ourselves to a certain amount, perhaps only on holidays. Yet when we step into vacation zone that all changes. Not to mention the dozen of new ways we encounter chocolate. Like the chocolate melting cake. Paired perfectly with your favorite ice cream the gooey like texture will have you coming back for more. And if you can’t wait I just so happened to link the recipe for you to try at home. Just click the image below.
If you ever find yourself in Alaska (and I hope you do) you can’t leave without trying the “Tongass Forest Cookies.” These cookies are said to be originated from Alaska themselves. I wouldn’t be surprise if that is true. With their combination of oats, coconut, Rice Krispies, and two kinds of sugar. They sure make a wild and beautiful combination that’s sure to satisfy just like Alaska itself.
I can’t remember ever going on a cruise without having never ending access to soft serve ice cream. I think this is one of the biggest memories my kids have; having ice cream anytime their little hearts desire. My six year old still mentions it. Honestly half the time he thinks the anytime ice cream goes for home as well. My personal favorite was the pineapple flavor that the Disney ships offer; that was good. You could also find it on their private Island, Castaway Bay. If you haven’t checked it out for a vacation destination I highly recommend you do.
There you have it five desserts that are sure to not disappoint. One of the things I love about vacations is trying new things including something as simple as dessert. I recommend to try as many as possible, you never know if you’re ever get the opportunity again.
Sincerely your travel agent,
Carley
